Most businesses, especially SMEs, start their business with a very broad marketing plan – then using a variety of marketing tactics to achieve financial growth targets. In good times this process can work and companies continue their marketing on an ad hoc basis, without any clear strategy to cover additional products, distribution etc.
If business does well, the owners often become complacent about their growth, how to maintain past successes and reluctant to change past marketing methods.

Consulting on Business Models and Marketing Strategies
Once we have an idea of how your company has gotten to were it is today, what you are doing to continue growth of the company, how you operate, your range of products / services and your market access; we will look the next steps.
These include looking at your business model (if you have one), developing, improving or creating one for your specific needs. Reviewing your target markets and where necessary, adding/deleting as required; then arriving at specific marketing strategies which will help you to grow your business.
No matter how well you have done in the past – current changes in the economic climate means businesses need to be adaptable and open to change themselves, or suffer the consequences.

Strategy Implementation
Once our recommendations have been agreed upon – the implementation requires careful supervision and continuous monitoring. Often we recommend testing different aspects before implementing our ideas across the board. While we are confident in our recommendations, the implementation often requires a little tweaking to ensure maximum results.
We are happy to work with your own marketing people, either in-house or your own consultants. If you do not have such manpower available - we can recommend specific people for different types of marketing.
We do not directly handle any implementation of our strategies as there are specialists within different marketing disciplines who will be more efficient and cost-effective than us – in a specific marketing discipline.
Our job is to create the right strategy for your business, including which marketing disciplines are right for you - then take a supervisory and monitoring role to ensure our strategic recommendations are implemented in the correct manner, as intended.

Business Brainstorming Sessions
That’s the idea of having a fixed time (60-90 minutes) Business Brainstorming Session. It won’t solve all your problems but will give you useful points that can be used in your business, the same day.
Give us 60-90 minutes during a personal Business Brainstorming Session where it’s all about you and your business. Your Business Brainstorming Session can include:

We’re passionate about helping businesses grow. After working for 40 years, 25 in Hong Kong, we have a large database and often can supplement our ideas and concepts with specific contacts from our large and diversified database – plus you’ll leave with a list of strategies and ideas to solve your problem and grow your business.
When we hold a Brainstorming Session, it consists of 3 parts:
- first, a preliminary meeting with the owner/CEO, where we go over the procedure and explain why ‘brainstorming’ only works for one problem at a time – and how best to formulate your specific problem in one or two sentences – and who should attend.
- secondly, the actual ‘brainstorming’ session is recorded and conducted by our CEO – a marketing professional with some 40 years experience in business consulting in both Melbourne and Hong Kong.
- after the session is completed, we will use the recording to review all the responses and then analyse and present you with a written summary of how we think you should proceed in a final meeting.
We charge a fixed amount, as giving it away would diminish its value. For a one time cost of HKD 9,800 for the brainstorming session (including a preliminary meeting and a written report with conclusions after the ‘session’) – we believe the value will be self-evident and we also offer a unique guarantee in that if you tell us you have received no value after reviewing, analyzing and providing you with a written summary – we will refund you 50percent of the cost, without question.

AsiaMarketing Club (AM Club)
Marketing and especially strategic marketing, requires a mindset that’s different from simply implementing tactics through one or more marketing disciplines.
There is no 100percent right or wrong. Any strategy should be carefully thought out and flexibility and adaptability should be key ingredients of any strategy, along with the ability to test and monitor.
We believe the discipline of strategic marketing is unique and to understand and be able to leverage of good strategic ideas requires a certain type of person.
